Excuse my rant...

I feel the need to dish the stress that is my life right now, so if you have no interest, feel free to ignore this post!

To start out with, I nurse my ten-month-old, so Mother Nature has not paid me in a visit in some time. This is a bonus most of the time, until I have a major pregnancy scare, then this is not such a bonus. Two weeks later, pregnancy scare is over and Mother Nature stops by and tries to make up for her year-and-a-half absence with an extra bout of hormonal woman Hear-Me-Roar. I'll spare you the details.
Part two took place yesterday when a hornet got into my two-and-a-half year old's room and scared the bejeebus out of her. This was an unusual occurrence as there usually is a screen up, but Abigail is overly mechanical and climbed up to the window and pushed the screen out a week before. Since then, my nature-loving toddler has become so terrified of everything that even remotely resembles a bug (i.e. paper on the sidewalk, dandelion fluff, etc.) that a trip to the park today resulted in her screaming herself hoarse on a park bench. She had no interest in swinging, going up-and-down on the see-saw, she didn't even want the comfort of her much-loved blankie.
The icing on the cake is that I have a terrible cold, complete with sneezing, watery eyes, runny nose, sore throat, itchy ears, and head congestion. Need I say more?

My Fair Lazy: One Reality Television Addict's Attempt to Discover If Not Being A Dumb Ass Is the New Black, or, a Culture-Up Manifesto
So why in the world did I venture out of doors today at all? Because I had a new ARC waiting for me at the post office,  My Fair Lazy: One Reality Television Addict's Attempt to Discover If Not Being A Dumb Ass Is the New Black, or, a Culture-Up Manifesto by Jen Lancaster, and at this point I think I need some humor injected into my life more than I need a chocolate bar. Although, chocolate would be nice, too.

How is your day going?

You absolutely need chocolate, girl!!!! And a cup of hot tea, a hot bath, and some good quality reading time. Reading this I had to chuckle, not at you as I sympathize completely, but over the fact that I'm so glad my kids are older and those days, lovely as they were, are over.

Thankyou for the sympathy! I've been guzzling tea all day with honey, and I'm planning the chocolate, bath, and reading as soon as kids are taken care of.
